Life and Time - A Moment in History

Recently I have taken a huge interest in an era I find so fascinating. I find myself loving everything about the 60's from icons, to furniture, to music, to clothing, to culture, to everything else I can learn about this amazing time. What I think is one of the coolest things about it is I have many people in my life who were alive during this time. I can ask them endless questions, their take on everything that was going on, what they remember,  what things were like etc. I find when I talk about that time with them there are so many different memories and views about everything. But, without question one thing remains in common with every single person. It was definitely a unique and historic time of life.

One of my favorite icons from the 60's is Sharon Tate. She was well on her way to achieving her dreams of becoming an actress and being "primped" to become the next "Marilyn Monroe". Her and her first unborn child's life were tragically cut short by the "Manson Family". One of the things I love so much about her is her eclectic look, it's timeless, effortless and always chic. But more importantly I love that so many people speak of what a beautiful soul she was.

One of my favorite things to do is go to estate sales, antique picking, and thrift store shopping. I find myself loving to collect things of the 60's era. I was at an all-time high when I found an estate sale that had BOXES and BOXES and BOXES of old Life magazines. I quickly went to the box that had the year that fascinated me the most, 1969. I also picked up a few that caught my interest. Here are some highlights of my findings.
